Course Description:
Sustainability and climate change has in recent years become one of the most high-priority issues facing us today. But despite its omnipresence, climate change politics remains fiendishly complicated and the task facing us looks enormous. A particular challenge is to ensure that the transition is just for all: that both the impact of climate change and the measures needed to address global warming are equitable, especially for people living in the Global South. In this course we will offer a framework of thinking and teaching climate change that brings down the complications without dumbing down the complexity.

- Recognise the social, technological, and political challenges to effectively combat climate change in line with principles of climate justice
- Learn to debate the effectiveness of different policy scenarios in different facets
